Howler Monkey Teenager
These Howler monkeys were proving tricky to get a picture of. There were a few obstacles to get past. Oddly enough finding the monkeys was not one of them. They are very loud and fairly common throughout the areas of Costa Rica where we were staying. The difficulty came in trying to expose the picture properly. This was one of the only ones I got where the sky wasn’t blown out, or the monkey itself wasn’t completely black. Also, it was difficult finding either a female or a young male prior to puberty. It is very easy to spot the males, if you know what I mean… Let’s just say there is no shame in the realm of the monkeys.
